Description

Cantina Trexenta’s “Duca di Mandas” is a Monica di Sardegna DOC that authentically expresses one of the island’s historic and most traditional grape varieties. This wine is crafted from Monica grapes grown in the area’s hillside vineyards, where they benefit from an ideal climate that enhances their freshness and aromatic character.

In the glass, it displays a brilliant ruby ​​red color with delicate violet hues. The nose offers a fresh, fruity bouquet featuring distinct notes of ripe cherry, raspberry, and small red berries, accompanied by pleasant floral nuances and an undertone of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is smooth, savory, and easy-drinking, with a delicate tannic structure and a pleasantly harmonious finish.

It pairs excellently with cured meats, flavorful traditional pasta dishes, roasted white meats, and semi-aged cheeses.

Sardinia's Red Gold

Our saffron comes from the sun-drenched fields of Sardinia, where cultivation follows traditional rhythms. The flowers are harvested strictly by hand at dawn, between October and November, to preserve their aroma and properties intact.

To obtain just one gram of this precious spice, approximately 150 to 200 flowers are required, cleaned with artisanal care.

In the kitchen, it is the ideal ingredient for enhancing first courses such as risottos and fresh pasta, as well as soups, meats, and traditional desserts.
