Description
Pistoccheddus (also known as Pistocheddos or Pistokkes) are classic golden biscuits from the Sardinian confectionery tradition. They are made using ancient local recipes and simple, wholesome ingredients: flour, fresh eggs, sugar, and a touch of lemon zest. They are distinguished by their crumbly texture and characteristic white sugar glaze (*la cappa*), often decorated with colorful sprinkles (*tragea*).
Historically created for special occasions—such as weddings and patron saint festivals—Pistoccheddus now bring the authentic taste and aroma of Sardinia to the table every day. Perfect for dunking in milk at breakfast, they are also exceptional when paired with a glass of Moscato di Sardegna or a dessert wine after a meal.
